Regional Events

Two Pacific NW regional dance retreats occur yearly and are wonderful ways experience the dances more in depth as well as relax in a beautiful natural setting.  Many dancers attend these retreats on a regular basis, building community with members of their own dance circle and with dancers from across the Pacific Northwest.  Dance leaders from other locations often bring dances not experienced  locally.  Depending on the leaders involved, special sessions on singing, dance leading, drumming, or meditation may also be offered as part of the camp.

Regional retreat costs are kept low to make these retreats as accessible as possible.  Meals with meat or vegetarian options are provided from Friday evening through Sunday lunch.  Lodging is available in dormitories and, in some cases, couples cabins.  Tenting may also be an option.

Scholarships for partial or full camp fees are generally available through local dance circle and regional retreat scholarship funds.  Work trades for fee reduction may also be available.

Obtaining Information on Regional Camps:  Fliers for Pacific Northwest regional dance camps are distributed at dance circles.  Prior participants are automatically put on an e-mail list.  If you’ve never attended and would like to receive e-mail notification, contact the following:
